Deep Well and Submersible Pump

Our deep well was drilled by the Department of Agriculture Region XI lead by bayaw Neil at DA RAED who did all the validation and inspection of the area for possible installation of geound irrigation. The PAGRO Dvo Norte lead bayaw Chris Dalisay who did the drilling.

This program of the project is, the recipient will the one to provide the materials and the DA XI provided the manpower and technical. They drilled this well back in October 2023. 

I never thought about the GI pipes and water reactions. The pipes is always submerged all the time and ended up like this in the photo, after 2 years.

I was disappointed with the connection, got rusted and my pump almost falling inside the well. Thanks be to God that God save me for spending too much.

God is really good. He protected our farm resources. Yes, my submersible pump is safe from falling. 

As you see in the photo, he nipple got rusted and pump wont shoot up some water because of the hole. I have a great submersible pump but the nipple should be stainless too. I never thought of that. Now I know and so I am bringing stainless steel nipple from here... temporary GI nipple will be connected and change it later. 

Lesson learned, water plus galvanized iron does not go together. Rust will attack the fittings.

Just fish and salt with a ratio of 10:1 and you have the option to add spices like ginger or garlic. 

Procedure:

Just clean the anchovies. Drain and then add salt. Put it in a sanitized jar.

Redsun fruit- like a jackfruit

Redsun jackfruit" likely refers to a specific variety of Thai red jackfruit, known for its red-orange flesh and high sweetness. The fruit locally known as “tambis” in English “Watery Rose Apple” very sweet in red. 

The purple tambis we bought to one of the nursery in Luzon April 2025. Planted June 2025.

Dragon Fruit attack by pest and diseased

Mealybugs and aphids are a common problem for dragon fruit. Aphids is a sap sucking pests feed on thr sweet sap of the plant. Aphids also attracts ants, who will then feed on the plant as well. 

When there is Aphids, then there is also fungus. Fungus damages the vines and also the fruit itself. It is still edible but the fruit sometimes it is not so sweet
